Position Description

Reporting directly to the Director of Commercial Finance, the Senior Strategic Analyst will play a vital role in supporting intelligent and financially sound decision-making for PAR Restaurant Solutions Group (RSG). This position demands strong financial analytical skills, business acumen in the context of an enterprise technology and multi-product technology company, and the ability to think strategically. The successful candidate will be responsible for directing and leading analytical efforts across various dimensions, contributing significantly to PAR's business advancement.

Compensation

The base salary range for this position is $100,000 to $135,000 USD per year commensurate with work location, experience, skills, certifications, education, and prior accomplishments.

The position may be eligible for additional compensation, including a bonus, commission and/or equity, as applicable.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting or Business (MBA preferred)
  • 5-7 years of experience in financial planning and analysis or strategic finance role, preferably in SaaS or fast-growing technology companies
  • Strong finance skills, analytical problem-solving ability, and superior business acumen
  • Independent thinking and the ability to use data and business acumen to drive decisions.
  • Passion for using data to drive better decision making and connecting operational metrics with financial results
  • Strong partnership and influence skills
  • Great presentation and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across organizations and functions while utilizing resources effectively.
  • Systems Knowledge & Experience
    • Management Reporting System (Planful, Anaplan, Adaptive etc...)
    • Data Visualization (Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Domo etc...)
    • Microsoft AX Dynamics experience
    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, Advanced Formulas, use of short-cut keys etc.)
  • Strong understanding of SaaS Industry accounting (606 revenue recognition) and metrics
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and handle simultaneous assignments under tight deadlines and in a fast-paced environment.

Why We Need You

Holistic Analysis:

  • Conduct in-depth analyses across PAR, industry, competitors, Total Addressable Market (TAM), Serviceable Addressable Market (SAM), and Share of Market (SOM).
  • Provide comprehensive insights into verticals and geographies, contributing to a holistic understanding of the business landscape.

Financial Reporting:

  • Assist the commercial finance team in the preparation and ongoing improvements to the monthly financial package, providing key insights, P&Ls and key financial performance indicators
  • Assist in producing monthly/weekly financial and operational (metrics) reporting for the business line, operating segment, and corporate FP&A
  • Support the Commercial Finance Leader with ad hoc and regular reporting
    • Forecasting process including full 3 statement forecasting (IS, BS, CF), to help drive analysis on profitability trends and impacts in multiple strategic scenarios that take into consideration both organic and inorganic growth
    • Annual Operating Plan Process
    • Quarterly Audit Committee presentation

Leadership and Initiative:

  • Lead and direct the Commercial Finance Business Unit Pods in conducting detailed analytics and financial assessments.
  • Demonstrate a proactive approach by initiating and conducting analytics independently.

Strategic Thinking and Decision Support:

  • Utilize financial analytical skills to support strategic decision-making for PAR RSG.
  • Think strategically and contribute to the development and execution of key business initiatives.

Business Acumen:

  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of enterprise technology and multi-product technology companies.
  • Apply business acumen to analyze financial data and derive actionable insights.
  • Maintain key metrics/KPIs of the business and develop as needed
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and communicate the narrative of the specific businesses

Systems Knowledge & Experience:

  • Utilize Management Reporting System (e.g., Planful, Anaplan, Adaptive), Data Visualization tools (e.g., Microsoft Power BI, Tableau), and Microsoft AX Dynamics for effective analysis and reporting.
