About The Department of Information
The Department of Information Science explores the dynamics between individuals and technology, studying its impact on society and the reciprocal influence between technology usage and innovation. With approximately 700 undergraduates across three colleges and around 225 students in graduate programs, including professional master's and PhD tracks, the department focuses on understanding and shaping the evolving relationship between people and technology.

The Opportunity
This opportunity involves procuring goods and services for department events, research, course supplies, and grading sessions. Additionally, it provides comprehensive administrative support to faculty, research groups, post-docs, graduate students, and visitors within the Information Science Department.

This is a full-time (39 hours/week) endowed position that is based in Ithaca, NY. Work hours are 8am - 4:30pm Monday through Friday. The Administrative Assistant role is predominantly on-campus, requiring presence for three days per week during the academic year, with increased flexibility during breaks and summers. Additional on-campus hours may be necessary to support special events.
The anticipated start date for this position is in mid June.
